Students are faced with difficulties in learning because of the recent pandemic and some educator expectations. Struggling seems to be the new normal for some demographics. This hasn't changed from articles written in the 2014 Center for American Progress Report that students of color and students from low socioeconomic backgrounds are at a disadvantage when it comes to teachers' expectations.
